US healthcare organisation Asante Health System will deploy a new integration engine to create an electronic clinical record that can be accessed by physicians at its two main facilities.

Orion Health's Rhapsody Integration Engine will help Asante migrate and streamline message exchange between its 378-bed Rogue Valley Medical Center and the 125-bed Three Rivers Community Hospital in the US state of Oregon.

The organisation decided to implement a new technology solution when it was obvious its current integration engine was reaching the end of its life, Asante project manager Kate Amidei said.
