Turkey's Acibadem Healthcare Group has acquired new radiotherapy treatment machines as it has expanded its facilities in Turkey from three to five with new centres in Adana and Kayseri.

Acibadem has deployed Varian Medical Systems' technology, implementing its Trilogy, Clinac and VariSource suites of software.

The technology delivers a precise and efficient treatment in single or multiple arcs around the patient, making it possible to deliver image-guided IMRT two to eight times faster than conventional systems, Varian said.

Acrbadem's three other centres in Turkey are already using the Varian equipment and software.
