US Mercy Medical Center will implement a new physician information and ambulatory electronic health records (EHR) system to improve health information exchange and patient care at its 445-bed hospital in Iowa.

The systems from IT firms PatientKeeper and Sage will give physicians access to integrated inpatient and outpatient information across care settings to improve efficiency.

The new platform will help Mercy's emergency department make informed decisions by providing key patient information, improving operational efficiencies and patient care, PatientKeeper said.

Mercy is a 445 licensed-bed hospital in Iowa.
