Garden City Hospital (GCH) in the US state of Michigan is expanding its existing radiology workflow technology to improve productivity and enhance patient care.

CareTech will expand the 323-bed hospital's existing AMICAS PACS installation and implement AMICAS Reach and AMICAS RIS solutions to optimise radiology operations.

The new solutions will improve radiologist productivity while simultaneously improving the quality of care being delivered, CareTech said.

The technology enables radiology departments to proactively deliver reports and follow-up order entry to referring physicians, improving administrative staff productivity and revenues, CareTech said.

GCH is an independent community hospital with 365 physicians in 47 specialities including emergency medicine, critical care, radiology, sports medicine and oncology.
