Saudi Arabia's King Saud University hospitals have launched a project to electronically archive and automate all medical records.

The new system will enable King Khalid and King Abdulaziz University Hospitals to replace paper-based records with electronic files to store patients' information, medical history, reports and X-rays.

The integrated health data system at the hospitals will provide physicians with quick access to information in a systematic way, Saud University said.
