Italy's public healthcare institution Maggiore della Carità is deploying a new radiology archiving solution to facilitate data sharing and to improve quality of service.

Carestream Health's RIS/PACS will help Maggiore manage and archive images from the hospital's radiodiagnostics department and enable data sharing with Galliate Hospital.

The next phase of the project will be to use the technology in the nuclear medicine and oncology sections, eHealthNews.eu reports.

The technology, which is accessible 24 hours a day, will be used to track patients' clinical progress.
