Community Hospital South in the US state of Indiana has deployed an electronic medical record (EMR) system and a patient monitoring solution to streamline workflows and improve productivity.

GE Healthcare's Centricity Enterprise 6.1 and Monitored Care will help the 200-bed hospital capture clinical and medical device data in a patient's EMR system, to deliver quality care to patients.

Centricity Enterprise will automate key clinical processes for lab orders, test results, pharmacy and care documentation with administrative and financial processes in a single EMR system.

The solutions give physicians instant access to clinical data, helping them make informed treatment decisions and reducing the possibility of medical errors, the company said.
