The US Baptist Memorial Health Care network will deploy a new electronic health record (EHR) to connect clinical and business functions across more than 3,000 physicians.

The hospital network has selected Allscripts' technology for its 65 physicians employed in Baptist's Minor Medical Centers and the 3,100 affliated physicians across its 15 hospitals in Tennessee, Arkansas and Mississippi.

The EHR solution automates clinical processes and provides physicians with immediate access to critical data from hospitals, laboratories, pharmacies and patients, Allscripts said.

The web-based solution enables clinicians to evaluate and improve their practices and deliver more effective disease management, preventive care and long-range health maintenance, the company said.
