Eastern Maine Medical Center (EMMC) in the US has deployed a real-time locating system (RTLS) at its Imaging Centre to manage patient flow and improve patient safety.

Versus Technology's RTLS allows EMMC to record time parameters associated with patient visits, including wait time and how long it takes to complete a particular imaging service.

The system allows staff to perform more accurate scheduling based on actual time to complete certain procedures and inform patients about expected wait and procedure times, Versus said.

EMMC's 32,000ft² Imaging Center offers outpatient services such as CT scans, MRIs, digital mammography, diagnostic cardiology, radiography and ultrasound.
