The UK will start vaccinations against H1N1 influenza in the country on 21 October, with at-risk groups being the first to receive the flu shots.

Priority will be given to people aged between six months and 65 years in the seasonal flu vaccine at-risk groups – pregnant women and those who live with someone whose immune system is weak.

The national swine flu vaccination programme for at-risk groups is expected to be completed by December.
