Spire Healthcare Group in the UK has deployed a picture archiving and communications system (PACS) and computed radiography (CR) systems at ten of its hospitals.

Agfa HealthCare's IMPAX PACS allows for easy image storage and retrieval while the CR systems enable digital imaging at the facilities, the company said.

The PACS system allows consultant radiologists at Spire to use 3D reconstruction and work with orthopaedic templating software for the first time, Agfa said.

Spire Healthcare has 36 facilities spread across the UK.
