The Australian Government has announced the tender process for the new combined Manilla Multi Purpose Service (MPS) and HealthOne facility to be built in New South Wales is now underway.
The $16.6m (A$18m) integrated facility will offer health services such as GP services, preventive healthcare and acute services, the government said.
The new Manilla MPS will feature 12 acute beds, 20 residential care beds, a new birthing suite and rooms for antenatal and postnatal services, as well as a new two-bay emergency department.
HealthOne Manilla will include clinic rooms for GPs and other medical specialists, treatment rooms and work areas for community health.
Construction is scheduled to begin in early 2010.
