The Memorial Hermann Woodlands Hospital in the US state of Texas will begin construction on a $104m project in early 2010 to expand its healthcare services.

The project will expand the hospital's campus by 240,000ft² and add eight surgical suites, pre-operation and recovery rooms and waiting areas, according to Houston.bizjournals.com.

A 36-bed patient care unit will also be built, taking the total bed count of the hospital to 288.
