Saudi Arabia’s Medical City Project Gets Underway

A new hospital will be constructed at King Khalid University as part of the Medical City Project in Abha, Saudi Arabia. The Higher Education Ministry has committed a further $500m (SR1.9bn) for the project, which includes a 400-bed university hospital, according to the Saudi Press Agen

The Higher Education Ministry has committed a further $500m (SR1.9bn) for the project, which includes a 400-bed university hospital, according to the Saudi Press Agency.

The project also includes laboratories and faculties of medicine, pharmacy and dentistry, the ministry said.

The first stage of the project is underway at an estimated cost of over $586m (SR2.2bn).
