Vietnam has installed its first wastewater treatment station at a medical institution, the Cho Ray hospital in Ho Chi Minh City, to treat 4,000 cubic metres of wastewater a day.

The hospital discharges a seventh of the city’s total hospital wastewater, in the range of 2,000–2,500 cubic metres daily.

The technology will be used in other hospitals across the country, following its successful test run for six months at Cho Ray hospital.
