Australian Hospital Receives Funding for Redevelopment

The Tasmanian Government in Australia has awarded $8m in funding to redevelop the Mersey Hospital. Of the total amount, $1m will be spent on relocating the high dependency unit and $4.7m will be spent on expanding the emergency department. The rest will be allocated to upgrading theatre

The Tasmanian Government in Australia has awarded $8m in funding to redevelop the Mersey Hospital.

Of the total amount, $1m will be spent on relocating the high dependency unit and $4.7m will be spent on expanding the emergency department. The rest will be allocated to upgrading theatre suites and outpatients’ clinics.

Work on the first stage of the redevelopment is expected to begin in the next few months.
