US Hospital Breaks Ground on Expansion Project

Kingwood Medical Center in the US has broken ground on a $25.5m project to expand its service offering to Houston's northeast communities. The project will add fourth and fifth floors on the existing bed tower and 56 private beds with telemetry capabilities, adding neurosurgery services.

Kingwood Medical Center in the US has broken ground on a $25.5m project to expand its service offering to Houston's northeast communities.

The project will add fourth and fifth floors on the existing bed tower and 56 private beds with telemetry capabilities, adding neurosurgery services.

In addition, the medical centre's laboratory will be renovated and expanded.

The facility is the only general acute care hospital located in Kingwood and after completion will serve 4,000 more patients per year and employ 225 extra staff.
