A new imaging device that can capture a still image of a beating heart and provide early diagnosis of heart disease has been developed by Israeli researchers.
Dr Ehud Dafni, CEO of Arineta, has developed the first computed tomography imaging system specifically designed for the heart.
The machine, used for preventive screenings, is small, inexpensive and uses only a small quantity of radiation.
Using this device, doctors can find out who will benefit from treatment, prescribe medication and afterwards follow up to see if medication worked.
Heart disease is considered to be the number one killer in the US and worldwide.
