Health Link Medical Center in Oceanside, California, US, has announced the opening of a new location in Mill Valley, California, in October 2012.
The new Mill Valley clinic will expand the Regenexx orthopaedic stem cell treatment network to northern California.
Health Link Medical Center CEO Dr. Norman Deitch said the new facility brings Regenexx procedures to the San Francisco area.
"Patients regularly travel across the country for the opportunity to receive these leading non-surgical treatments," said Dr. Deitch.
"This expansion makes them conveniently accessible to the millions of individuals in northern California."
Health Link Medical Center’s Oceanside clinic is currently providing Regenexx orthopaedic platelet and autologous stem cell procedures that offer non-surgical treatment options for common joint injuries and degenerative conditions, including osteoarthritis.
The patient’s own stem cells are used in the procedures to help heal damaged tissues, tendons, ligaments, bone, or cartilage.
Regenexx patients experience less downtime and avoid lengthy and painful rehabilitation periods following surgery, according to Health Link Medical Center.
The Mill Valley facility will feature a biological cell laboratory to handle the advanced laboratory processing of platelets and stem cells required for the same-day procedures.
