Airedale NHS Foundation Trust (ANHST) in the UK has deployed TPP’s SystmOne patient administration system (PAS) across the trust, including A&E in the emergency department (ED) and bed management functionality in the medical admissions unit (MAU).
ANHST will leverage the SystmOne PAS technology for the transfer of patients from its ED to MAU.
TPP and Accenture worked together over the deployment process and will carry on monitoring progress over the coming weeks.
TPP managing director Frank Hester said the deployment is a result of collaboration between TPP, Accenture and the Airedale staff.
"The trust has been committed to SystmOne from the start and, as a result, there’s been a real sense of partnership along the deployment journey," Hester added
"We’re excited to witness the benefits the trust will begin to realise as they use more and more of the system."
SystmOne PAS, which is designed to work with the SystmOne Hospital modules or an existing system, aids in managing activity and eliminating breaches, achieving meaningful links with GPs, paper reduction and resource management.
Airedale is expected to deploy e-prescribing and e-discharge functionality across the hospital in 2013 and the data will be hosted securely by CSC.
Accenture UK health business managing director Jim Burke said, "The combination of Accenture’s systems integration experience and TPP’s technology is enabling physicians to have access to real-time clinical information along with the ability to share information with primary care organisations, as a result improving care delivery."
