Crouse Hospital, a private, not-for-profit hospital located in Syracuse, New York, has announced it is providing visiting consultative services at Community Memorial Hospital in Hamilton.
The services, intended for patients in the Hamilton area and Madison County, are part of Crouse’s affiliation with Community Memorial Hospital.
The medical services currently provided include general surgical consultations, vascular care, gastrointestinal care and obstetrical / gynecological care.
Services are offered on specific days of the week at Community Memorial Hospital by Syracuse-based physicians representing Central New York Surgical Physicians, Vascular Care Associates of Central New York, Syracuse Gastroenterological Associates of Syracuse and Central New York Women’s Healthcare.
Community Memorial Hospital’s CEO Sean Fadale said the hospital expects to add other visiting specialty services in the near future.
"Our partnership with Crouse Hospital enables us to provide the highest level of specialty medical care services to the residents of Hamilton and our surrounding community," Fadale said.
In 2012, Crouse and Community Memorial hospitals have formalised a partnership as part of Crouse’s strategic focus on developing a more coordinated and comprehensive network of care delivery.
The effort also included the formation in 2010 of Crouse Medical Practice and its acquisition of Internist Associates of Central New York, the area’s largest internal medicine practice.
Crouse’s affiliation with Community Memorial hospital also includes joint projects focusing on enhancing the IT infrastructure at the Hamilton hospital and establishing a more seamless level of connectivity between the two facilities.
Community Memorial is a 36-bed hospital that offers emergency care, primary care and specialty care, with inpatient and outpatient services for Madison County and the surrounding region.
Crouse hospital is a private, not-for-profit hospital with 506 acute-care beds and 57 bassinets.
