The board will spend £16m to update facilities and reduce waiting times at the accident and emergency departments in Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor and Ysbyty Glan Clwyd near Rhyl.

About £48m will be spent on Llandudno hospital, where work includes additional operating theatres for day surgery, a specialist centre for women’s health, a fertility clinic and a modernised outpatients department.
