Gulf Healthcare International, in collaboration with US-based Occucare International, has opened the first dedicated occupational healthcare facility in Dubai, UAE.

Occupational Health International is a 15,000ft² facility that will provide a broad range of services, from comprehensive health checks to bespoke health solutions for special industry verticals.

The centre will provide screening, vaccinations, treatment and education to employees and work with employers to adapt best practices in the workplace.

The facility will also provide comprehensive pre-employment screenings, annual medical investigations, minor treatment and travel medicine.

Gulf Healthcare International CEO Mark Adams said that given that more than two-thirds of people in the UAE spend most of their time in the workplace, it is a logical place to start education and preventative initiatives.

“This is one of our key aims in investing in such a facility,” Adams said.
