Louisiana-based LHC Group has entered into a joint venture with Helen Keller Hospital to provide home health and hospice services in the state of Alabama, US.

The primary service area of the joint venture will span six counties in the state, with an estimated population of 260,000, and operate under the name of Keller Home Care and Keller Hospice.

Following Keller board’s approval of the joint venture, LHC has gained controlling interest in the hospice and home health operation at the hospital. Keller will retain a 33% ownership interest.

LHC Group CEO Keith Myers, said that his company is proud to partner with Helen Keller Hospital and is looking forward to working together to deliver the highest quality in home health and hospice services to the residents of north-west Alabama.

LHC operates home health and hospice services at 65 hospitals in 19 states in the US.
