Fortis Healthcare (India) is set to open four new hospitals in India, including a cardiac care unit, as part of plans to strengthen its presence across the country.
Fortis will mark its entry into Kerala with a 45-bed boutique hospital in Cochin, which will offer healthcare for women under the Fortis La Femme brand.
A multi-speciality 100-bed hospital in Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh, will cater to the Kullu-Manali-Mandi belt.
Expanding its reach in West Bengal, Fortis will operate and manage a 50-bed cardiac care unit at multi-speciality HLG hospital in Asansol, reports the Economic Times.
The group also plans to strengthen its presence in the south with a tertiary care hospital with 375-bed capacity in Bengaluru, which will commence operations by 2013.
The new hospitals will increase the company’s bed capacity to 10,270.
