Medfort Hospitals, a healthcare institution focused on eyecare and diabetes, has acquired India’s Maxivision Eye Hospitals in an all-cash deal.

Post-merger the Medfort-Maxivision entity will form a network of 12 hospitals in Hyderabad, Chennai, Delhi NCR, Vizag, Vijayawada in India, and the UAE.

All eyecare activities of Medfort group will be rebranded as Maxivision Eyecare and Maxivision Lasik Suites across India.

Medfort hopes to expand Maxivision’s network to include 50 hospitals across 20 cities over the next year.
