Oklahoma healthcare provider Hillcrest HealthCare System has purchased SouthCrest Hospital in Tulsa and Claremore Regional Hospital in Claremore.

The deal includes the assets and operations of the two US hospitals, and more than 70 primary care physicians, specialists and mid-level providers.

Hillcrest CEO Kevin Gross said that it can can now provide greater access to quality healthcare, offer a network of 230 physicians for patients, and expand the capabilities at SouthCrest and Claremore Regional.

At SouthCrest Hospital, the construction of two new heart catheterisation labs has begun, following an investment of $3.2m.

Interventional catheterisation procedures will be introduced at Claremore Regional later in September.
