Private healthcare company Beacon Medical Group has been granted planning permission to build a new hospital in Limerick, Ireland.
Once operational, the 183-bed co-located facility worth about €250m will employ 460 full-time staff and an additional 690 people indirectly.
Around 620 construction workers will be recruited to build the new hospital which is being built on grounds leased from Mid-West Regional Hospital, the private healthcare company said.
The new facility will accommodate up to 9,400 inpatients and 40,000 outpatients each year.
