Salaries among health workers in Saudi Arabia are to be standardised for all those working in state-run hospitals and health centres using a new salary scale, it has been revealed.
The pay scale was approved by the Council of Ministers at a meeting on 25 May and will cover all health employees and independent health practitioners working in government and specialist hospitals, according to Saudi news agency SPA.
Facilities run by the National Guard, the Defense and Aviation Ministry, Interior Ministry, Health Ministry and King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center will also be covered by the new scheme, according to the Saudi authorities.
