Multiple hospitals in China’s Hunan province will be part of a Regional Health Information Platform as part of a project with US company Perot Systems Corporation.

The project aims to establish a health information network and transform healthcare information technology (HIT) in the province.

Perot will offer IT consulting services to hospitals and public health initiatives across the region to improve standards of care and reduce operational costs.

Perot will design, construct and implement the province’s healthcare information exchange network, which will include a regional HIT platform with advanced infrastructure support and electronic health records, the company said.
