Three physician groups based in the US state of Minnesota have collaborated with the Center for Diagnostic Imaging (CDI) to establish a new medical imaging centre.
The Family Practice Medical Center, Janning ENT Center and Allergy & Asthma Specialty Clinic will develop Willmar CDI, an image-guided procedures centre in conjunction with the CDI.

The outpatient centre will provide computed tomography, full-field digital mammography, ultrasound, X-ray and DEXA (bone density) imaging to Willmar residents and surrounding communities.
Image-guided biopsies and interventional procedures for the diagnosis and treatment of joint and back pain will also be offered, the CDI said.
Construction has begun and the centre is expected to open by September 2009.
