The Hospital of Central Connecticut in the US will deploy image management solutions to help staff resolve complicated workflow problems such as managing emergency department discrepancies.

AMICAS’ PACS, Reach and RadStream solutions will help the hospital achieve its reading, productivity and critical results management goals.

The company’s PACS solution includes a suite of tools such as intrinsic 3D and mammography to enhance the productivity of the hospital’s radiologists and improve the quality of care.

The hospital, which performs 200,000 radiology procedures each year, will use the AMICAS Reach solution to deliver radiology reports and images to physicians.

AMICAS RadStream decreases medical-legal risk by automating and documenting critical results communications, the company said.

The Hospital of Central Connecticut has a 330-bed campus in New Britain, a 84-bed Bradley Memorial campus in Southington and six outpatient imaging satellites serving hundreds of physicians across central Connecticut.
