Five private hospitals in Jordan have signed a memorandum of understanding in a bid to make the country more popular for internationals seeking medical treatment.

Participating hospitals are members of the Private Hospitals Association (PHA), a non-profit organisation representing private hospitals in Jordan, and each has signed an agreement to promot a patient-friendly attitude among hospital staff through training and coaching, the PHA said.

Selected staff members will be trained to become customer service trainers, establishing specialists across the participating hospitals and allowing exchange of expertise among hospitals.

The project also aims to establish guidelines on policies and procedures for improved customer service in the medical sector, the PHA said.
