Construction of the 60-bed Bedford Rehabilitation Hospital in the US state of Massachusetts will begin in September.

The $21m rehabilitation hospital and nursing centre will be built in a 65,000ft², three-storey facility in Bedford, Star-Telegram.com reports.

The new facility will have a 40-bed rehabilitation section and a 20-bed skilled nursing section, the news agency reports.

Once complete, Reliant Healthcare Partners will operate the hospital.

Dallas-based private investment firm MedProperties has funded 90% of the project’s equity while the remaining funds were contributed by Caddis Partners.
