Developing countries across the world could receive donations of H1N1 influenza vaccines as early as November, the World Health Organization (WHO) said.

About 100 developing countries will receive the donated vaccines, including 150 million doses from Sanofi-Aventis and GlaxoSmithKline.

Major pharmaceutical companies and developed nations have pledged to release 10% of their vaccine purchases to poorer countries, AFP reports.

The deliveries are expected to meet about 2% of the population in developing countries in the next four or five months, WHO officials said.
