Kuwait has strategic stocks of anti-H1N1 medication Tamiflu that can last until 2016, a Ministry of Health (MoH) official said.

The stock includes more than five million Tamiflu capsules for adults and more than 600,000 for children. It will also contain the medication in syrup form for infants, Kuwait Times reports.

The supplies are being stored at the ministry’s storage facilities and the latest batch of Tamiflu is expected to arrive in the country by the end of October.

The medication will be given to those infected with the virus, but people who have already been infected will not receive any further doses, government officials said.
