Orange Regional Medical Center in New York is building a new $355m hospital that will provide quality care to patients in the region.

The seven-storey hospital will spread across 600,000ft² and will be equipped with 354 beds installed in private rooms to enhance privacy and curb the spread of infections in the hospital.

Excluding the ground floor, all other areas of the facility will be wireless, to enable staff to monitor patients from anywhere in the hospital, according to the Times Herald-Record.

The hospital will provide Orange Regional’s existing programmes including adult and paediatric surgery, oncology, intensive care, maternity, mental health, cardiology, orthopaedics and rehabilitation.
