A state-of-the-art cancer diagnostic medical facility in Al Ain, UAE will begin operations in February 2010.
The Tawam Molecular Imaging Centre facility will provide specialised diagnostic analysis and is aimed at reducing the amount of travel patients are required to take to Europe and Asia to get specialised treatment.
The facility will feature advanced diagnostic imaging systems essential for the early detection and tracking of cancer, cardiovascular and neurological diseases, according to thenational.ae.
The new facility will be managed by Johns Hopkins Medicine International and will enable thousands of scans to be conducted each year.
