India’s private hospital chain Fortis Healthcare will set up smaller hospitals as a new model of healthcare delivery aimed at minimising costs.
Fortis will establish smaller hospitals with a capacity for up to 200 beds that will offer treatment at a cost of almost 50% less than in the existing facilities, according to economictimes.indiatimes.com.
The hospitals will be multi-speciality, but will offer only basic treatment options across the board, Fortis said.
