Vassar Brothers Medical Center in New York, US, said it will construct a 78,000ft² facility at its Poughkeepsie campus.
The facility will feature an expanded ambulatory surgery centre with four new operating rooms, a medical office building and a 900-space parking garage as well as a café and retail space.
The $66m project submitted to Poughkeepsie city is awaiting Health Quest Board, state and local authorities approval.
The project is expected to start in the summer of 2010 and be complete by the end of 2011.
