London Eye Hospital in the UK has performed the country’s first light adjustable lens (LAL) implant, giving patients HD vision.
The technologically advanced implants can be altered after surgery to give the best vision possible for each eye without the need for glasses.
LAL is considered the biggest breakthrough in eye surgery since the first implant was performed 60 years ago, responsesource.com reports.
NHS consultant ophthalmic surgeon and Medical Director of London Eye Hospital Bobby Qureshi carried out the surgery.
