Morriston Hospital and Hill House Hospital in Swansea, UK, have both been affected by an outbreak of the extremely infectious norovirus winter vomiting bug.

The norovirus winter vomiting bug causes sickness and diarrhoea.

The affected ward at Hill House Hospital has been reopened while an infection control team is working with ward and housekeeping staff to control the spread of the bug at Morriston Hospital.

New patients were not being allowed onto the wards until the virus was cleared, Abertawe Bro Morgannwg University Health Board said.
