Geisinger Medical Center in the US state of Pennsylvania has added a state-of-the-art $100m Hospital for Advanced Medicine to improve patient care.

The new nine-storey building includes 60 rooms equipped with ceiling cameras, microphones and big screen televisions allowing physicians, caregivers and patients to interact through an electronic intensive care unit, according to examiner.com.

The high-tech ceiling-mounted cameras help critical care doctors and nurses to zoom in on a patient with profound clarity and closely monitor a patient’s condition.

The big screen televisions help doctors and patients to interact and discuss medical information.
