US-based Christiana Care Health System has been honoured with Magnet recognition for excellence in nursing by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
Christiana Care is the only hospital in Delaware to achieve Magnet status, the hospital said.
Christiana Care chief nursing officer Diane Talarek said this is the highest honour a hospital can receive for its nursing programme and supports the exceptional skill and dedication of nursing at Christiana Care.
“We are so appreciative of the many employees who were directly involved in this process,” Talarek said.
The Magnet Recognition Program honours healthcare organisations that demonstrate excellence in nursing practice and adherence to national standards for the organisation and delivery of nursing services.
