King’s College Hospital Trust in the UK will equip its heating and hot water system with Thermal Energy’s FLU-ACE heat recovery solution.

The move will help the teaching hospital reduce energy consumption and meet the UK Government’s targets to reduce key carbon emissions by 80% by 2050.

The heat recovery system, worth £303,000 ($448,170), will be built and installed over the next 20 weeks.

Thermal Energy will calculate the Trust’s heat recovery project to reduce CO2 emissions by 1,564t and lower energy consumption by over eight million kilowatts annually, paying back the Trust’s investment in just over 18 months.
