St Jude Medical has unveiled its EnSite Derexi module, which provides an interface between the EnSite Velocity Cardiac Mapping System and the EP-Workmate Recording System.

The EnSite Derexi module streamlines access, collection and storage of patient data and advances the communication between commonly used devices.

The module allows procedural data (including relevant images, waveforms and other clinical data) and patient medical history information to be shared between the mapping and recording system to produce a synchronised patient record.

The EnSite Derexi module manages consolidated diagnostic information to better assist physicians in developing comprehensive treatment strategies.

The solution increases productivity and reduces the possibility for data entry errors by eliminating the need for technicians to input redundant patient data on multiple systems.

The combination of the EnSite Velocity System and the EP-Workmate System also helps manage the cost of delivering care by optimising functionality in the EP lab.

The module has received clearance from US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and also received CE Mark approval, the company said.
