Mafraq Hospital in the United Arab Emirates has introduced a new 2010 nursing education programme to update their nurses’ skills, and improve the delivery and standard of patient care.
The new education programme will educate nearly 752 nurses through a practical, interactive and innovative approach to provide world-class healthcare services to its community.
In the last three years, the hospital has recruited additional clinical educators to introduce new programmes for developing an empowered and knowledgeable workforce, which will influence the retention of current staff and attract new nurses to join the team.
Mafraq Hospital provides a fully functioning skills lab modernised with new equipment for special training needs, the installation of interactive screens for teaching and access to online libraries.
The hospital has also introduced peer and bedside evaluation to validate the competency of nurses and allow peers to assess each other in practice, according to ameinfo.com.
