A multicentre study conducted at several hospitals in the US and Israel has found that the EverOn patient supervision system can accurately detect a patient’s deterioration.
The system, designed by EarlySense, offers contact-free, post-acute care for patients by using advanced respiratory analysis.
The study involved more than 200 patients, and evaluated the correlation between the different parameters measured by the EverOn system and the detection of patient deterioration in hospitals.
EverOn detects heart and respiration rates, bed entries and exits, and measures vital signs and movements, alerting medical personnel when there is a change in the patient’s condition.
The system also helps medical staff to turn patients by verifying the turning process, which can positively influence the treatment and the prevention of pressure ulcers.
