The first dedicated wound care unit in the High Desert region of California, US, has opened at the St Mary Medical Center.
The outpatient unit will treat chronic and hard-to-heal wounds. It is staffed by a multidisciplinary team of physicians and clinical wound specialists, and also offers hyperbaric oxygen treatment.
