Ascension Orthopaedics has received approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for its TITAN Modular Total Shoulder System, an implant system that offers multiple surgical options for shoulder arthroplasty.

The TITAN system provides a bone-preserving option for patients. Using this system, a surgeon can independently select distal stems and proximal bodies that best suit the patient’s anatomy and bone quality.

The implant system also offers multiple glenoid options for patients requiring total shoulder replacement, including 26 humeral head sizing options.
